Western Valley Conference coaches have met and selected the All-Western Valley Conference volleyball team for the recently completed season.
Ridge View which had its season to to an end in a Class 2A regional semifinal to seventh-ranked South Hardin. The Raptors finished with an overall match record of 19-18. They finished fourth in the conference final standings with a 6-3 match record.
Season and All-WVC Tournament champion was Class 1A fifth-ranked River Valley. The finished the regular season in conference matches with a perfect 9-0 record and overall match record of 30-3. Their season ended in a 1A regional championship to North Tama.
Four members of the Ridge View Raptors team were recognized. Senior Sydney Blackmore was one of only four unanimous selections to the Western Valley Conference First team. Also named to the first team was senior Gabi Mason of the Raptors. Blackmore announced her collegiate intention back in August that she will be headed to Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville. There she continue her academic and volleyball career for the Trojans.
Named to the Western Valley Conference second team was senior Lilly Whitmer and junior Claire Wandrey.
